I had forgotten that I had planted this spectacular lily and suddenly, there it was, among the Japanese anenomes in my garden. Does anyone know what kind of lily it is?
Yes – I had no idea the colour and patterns on the petals would be so stunning when I bought the plant.
Wow! It’s amazing!
What a stunning photo Diana!I would like to know the name of it too.
I think I ordered the plant through Parva plants. It has flowered before, but three flowers this year has been its best ever performance. Worth the wait!
My friend Kay Gregan of NZ Travelbrokers tells me the lily is called ‘Arisaema candidissimum’- a genus of about 100 semi-tropical plants of the arum family.
Thank you to Judy whose green-fingered family member says it is a kind of calla lily.
