Lakeside Villas, Lake Taupo

When you park your car outside your unit at Lakeside Villas, Lake Taupo, and this is the view that you see, you can be sure you have arrived at a beautiful destination for your week’s holiday.

The lake can be seen from the bedrooms upstairs …

…and from the window seat downstairs.

Downstairs is an attractive living area – and a huge spa pool right outside the ranch sliders.

It was a bit chilly to use the bikes and kayaks while we were there. In the warmer months it would be so good to simply cross the road and have a paddle on the lake.

In fact, while we were there, a fresh layer of snow landed overnight on the volcanoes across the lake.

thanks for your posts here..we are planning a week there in feb and this convinced us..

    • Hi Ton. I am so glad you dropped by my blog. Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful holiday in Taupo. If you are an outdoor person, you’ll have even more to do than we did – fishing and cycling, for a start. On a previous trip to Taupo we took a brunch trip on a boat around to some Maori carvings. The carvings are not ancient, but they are quite beautiful. I recommend that, as well. Best of all, in February it will be much warmer than when we took our holiday. Have fun!
